Renae Brumbaugh

Stay-at-home mom, pastor’s wife, and former elementary school teacher Renae Brumbaugh loves to write. For years, she kept all of her writing in a box in her garage. In 2007, she sold her first article, and now she is a nationally published writer and author with several book contracts under her belt. (Read about Renae’s publishing credits here.) In fall of 2007, she launched her self-syndicated column, “Coffee Talk.” With humor and conversational style, Renae captivates readers and leaves them wanting more.

What the professionals are saying about “Coffee Talk”:

“Don’t let the title mislead you. Renae Brumbaugh offers insights that are meaty and ideas that will feed — and satisfy — readers all day long. Her language is conversational, her voice is refreshing, and her message is deep.”

“As an editor, one of my greatest needs is humor pieces that are actually, well, humorous. Renae comes through every time. I’d love to use more of her humor, but then we’d have to change the magazine title from Vista to Renae.”

– Jim Watkins, Editor, Wesleyan Publishing House, author, speaker, threat to society . . .

“Coffee Talk is a delightful read that delivers profound truth in a light and casual conversational tone.”

– Lillie Ammann, Novelist, Freelance Writer and Editor

“Reading ‘Coffee Talk‘ is like sitting down to a pleasant conversation over a cup of coffee. Renae has a knack for taking everyday happenings and writing about them with the perfect amount of humor mixed in. Coffee Talk — like a fresh cup of coffee — makes the day go better.”

– David Thomas, Senior Writer, Fort Worth Star-Telegram,
Journalist and Christian author

We’ve had many favorable calls about Coffee Talk. Her funny and positive columns on everything from high school football to the real truth about her “clean” home are really an asset to our newspaper. I would recommend Renae’s column for any newspaper.
